Moving Services

The government authority located in New Jersey is seeking a contractor to provide moving services for its offices. The agency cannot anticipate the exact number of moves each year and reserves the right to add or delete offices to be moved under this contract. The selected contractor must perform all work offsite, and the contract period will run for one year. The scope of work requires the contractor to provide packing services and supply legal-size commercial tote cartons with minimum dimensions of 22.5 inches by 15 inches by 12 inches and a minimum test rating of 200 pounds. The contractor must deliver these cartons to the move location, or to a different location at the same time as a move, at no additional cost. The agency also requires the contractor to tag and mark furniture and equipment to match the floor plan, supply adhesive commercial moving labels in various color codes, assist in preparing a numbering plan, and hang temporary room placards in advance of the move. The contractor must provide appropriate personnel at no additional cost to move very heavy items such as safes. To prevent damage during the moves, the contractor must protect the walls, floors, doorways, and elevators using amazonite for the floors and Corro flex furniture pads for the walls, doors, and elevators. Only United States organizations are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency is looking for proposals and does not indicate a specific budget.
