Mental Health Care Access Program Service

The District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a vendor to establish and operate a mental health care access program. This program will assist primary care providers in better identifying, screening, diagnosing, treating, and referring behavioral health conditions in children and youth. The agency aims to reduce barriers to care, particularly within rural areas and communities experiencing shortages of health professionals. The scope of work requires the selected vendor to expand the number of providers utilizing real-time behavioral health teleconsultations and care coordination services. The vendor must also deliver training to primary care providers on child and youth behavioral health, focusing on screening, diagnosis, and treatment protocols. The ultimate goal of the agency is to increase the number of children and youth receiving necessary behavioral health services through provider-initiated teleconsultations and referral support. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based entirely in the United States. The agency requires all performance of the work to occur offsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed a specific funding limit.
