Planning Technical Support Services

The Georgia Department of Transportation in Atlanta is seeking statewide planning technical support services on an as-needed basis. The agency needs to maintain, update, and manage its statewide travel demand forecasting model, which supports statewide transportation planning, county-wide plans, multi-county plans, and corridor transportation plans. To solve the problem of keeping this model current, the agency requires structural and input data modifications, including revisions to socio-economic data, network changes, Traffic Analysis Zone updates, modeling area expansions, and adjustments to trip rates or modal choices. The scope of work covers travel demand forecasting model development, zonal socioeconomic data development, and the creation of project lists for various model scenarios. The selected contractor must also provide comprehensive project management and coordination services, which includes scheduling and facilitating regular coordination meetings with internal team members to discuss progress, model updates, and ad hoc requests. Additionally, the provider must develop schedules for both the overall plan updates and the travel demand model updates. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based entirely in the United States. The agency requires all performance of the work to be conducted offsite. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has set the deadline for all questions to be submitted no later than June 29, 2026.
