The Metropolitan District in Hartford, Connecticut is seeking pension and post-employment trust investment consulting services. The agency needs to review and recommend changes to its pension and OPEB trust investment policies, focusing on asset allocation, investment returns, objectives, and guidelines for diversification, quality, and performance review. The selected consultant will monitor the hired investment management organizations continuously, paying specific attention to personnel, management, or organizational changes. The scope of work requires the delivery of quarterly written reports detailing pension fund performance on a total fund, individual portfolio, and individual manager basis. The agency also requires a monthly letter regarding status, pension plan performance, issues, and concerns, as well as an annual fee analysis of investment managers. Additionally, the consultant must conduct one annual investment manager search for the pension plan if the agency deems it necessary, and attend quarterly and as-needed meetings with district staff and committees. The agency limits eligibility to onshore United States organizations only. The designated work will occur offsite, and bidders must submit their proposals digitally via email or online.
