Peer Review Services for Paediatric Cancer Research Grants

The Maryland Department of Health is seeking a peer review organization or consultant to provide peer review services for paediatric cancer research grants. This initiative aims to address cancers diagnosed in children from birth to age 20. The selected vendor will utilize its network of reviewers working in the field of paediatric cancer to assess, evaluate, score, and recommend the funding of research grant proposals. The scope of work requires the evaluation and scoring of approximately twenty and up to twenty-six grant applications. The agency requires the pool of scientific reviewers to possess expertise in basic, translational, clinical, and population-based research directed at pediatric and adolescent cancers. The clinical expertise must include, but is not restricted to, observational, qualitative, intervention, and cross-sectional research. The agency requires all reviewers to sign a confidentiality agreement that protects their identity, includes explicit conflict of interest declarations, and provides instructions on the secure storage and disposal of grant applications and related materials. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The selected contractor will perform all work offsite over a contract period of one year. The agency is requesting budget proposals from bidders rather than providing a set budget limit. A pre-bid meeting will take place on June 22, 2026. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 29, 2026.
