The Housing Authority of Covington, Kentucky is seeking independent auditors with sufficient governmental accounting and auditing experience to perform annual financial audits and federal compliance reviews. The agency needs to solve the problem of ensuring regulatory compliance and financial accuracy through an independent audit of its annual financial statements, internal control systems, and compliance with laws and regulations that have a direct and material effect on each of its major programs. The selected auditor must perform an on-site or digital review of records to determine their condition and to confirm the scope of the audit. The scope of work requires the auditor to prepare the management discussion and analysis summarizing observations, findings, and recommendations for improving internal controls, compliance, and overall financial operations. Performance of the work will take place offsite, though the initial record review may be conducted on-site or digitally. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to participate in this procurement. The agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget for these services.
