Active Transportation Data Mapping Services

The San Mateo County Transit District in Redwood, California is seeking active transportation data mapping services to establish the base data set for an upcoming countywide bicycle and pedestrian plan update. The agency requires a contractor to lead data collection, mapping, and quality assurance and quality control efforts for existing public sidewalk, crosswalk, curb ramp, and limited bicycle facilities. This project aims to solve the challenge of fragmented infrastructure data by creating shareable maps and databases of existing conditions to guide future planning. The scope of work covers mapping sidewalk facilities at the street-side roadway segment level, ensuring each side of the roadway is evaluated independently. The contractor must deliver final geographic information system data in ESRI Shapefile and File Geodatabase formats, including all associated feature classes and attribute tables.
