Workers’ Compensation Services

The issuing agency is seeking a vendor to provide workers' compensation claims and cost containment services. The project covers all claims activities on or after July 1, 2027, for all claims incurred July 1, 1986, and later. The agency also requires oversight and management of claims services on an as-needed basis for a small quantity of claims prior to this date period. The selected contractor must oversee and manage employees and subcontractors to provide claims administration services with specific delegated authorities to be negotiated. Requested services include program administrative support, a short-term disability and long-term disability coordinator, paralegal services, and medical preferred services. The scope also encompasses provider bill review, utilization review, a discount prescription drug, supplies and apparatus program, surveillance, field investigation, and two dedicated loss control and safety staff to provide consulting and training services. The agency further requires payroll classification audits, field medical and vocational placement, telephonic nurse consulting, and a proprietary online claim reporting intake program. Surveillance, payroll classification audits, field investigations, and other special claims or loss control services, such as industrial hygienist services, may be priced on a per-service, per-hour, or per-item basis. The contract period will span three years. Eligible bidders must perform the work offsite within the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not signaled a specific funding limit. Bidders must attend a pre-bid meeting on June 22, 2026. The agency requires all questions to be submitted no later than June 25, 2026.
