Medical Provider Services

The City of Philadelphia government authority is seeking a vendor to establish and manage a comprehensive health care delivery system for adult and youthful inmates. This initiative aims to solve the challenge of providing consistent, high-quality medical, dental, and psychiatric care within its correctional facilities. The selected provider will oversee all aspects of patient care, including nursing coverage, physician coverage, pharmacy services, dental care, mental health services, and ancillary diagnostic services. The scope of work requires a physician to visit the youth center at least twice per week, while nurses must remain available daily to address resident medical needs. Additionally, the provider must manage medical records, generate monthly reports, and handle miscellaneous operational requirements such as medical waste disposal, medical testing, oxygen units, and medication administration training for line staff. The contract term spans a period of three years, and all performance of the work must occur onsite at the Philadelphia location. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and financial structure of the contract. Prospective bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 7, 2026.
