Substance Abuse Assessment Services

The 52nd District Court in Waterford, Michigan, requires substance abuse assessment services to evaluate program participants and determine the severity of their substance use. The court is seeking a vendor to conduct clinical intakes, personal interviews, and one-on-one meetings to discuss drug or alcohol history, treatment goals, and personal history. The selected provider must deliver diagnostic evaluations and utilize standardized screening tools, such as the alcohol screening test or the substance abusers subtle screening inventory, to establish diagnostic impressions and prognoses regarding the risk of future substance misuse or driving under the influence. The scope of work includes performing psychological and risk assessments that evaluate mental health, family life, and environmental risks. The agency requires these assessments to include personalized treatment recommendations and tailored care plans, which may feature referrals to outpatient or inpatient treatment, education classes, support groups, or connections with medical professionals, psychiatrists, and specialized addiction care. The chosen provider must possess and maintain all education, training, certifications, and licensing required for a substance use disorder prevention or treatment program and for performing these assessments. Eligibility is restricted to onshore United States organizations, and the agency expects the performance of the work to occur offsite. The contract period will span three years, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget.
