The City of Lansing, Michigan is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive physical move services to transition municipal operations into new facilities. The agency needs to relocate assets from the existing city hall, existing police stations, and an existing fire station into a newly constructed city hall and a new public safety building. This project solves the logistical challenge of coordinating a multi-departmental relocation while maintaining security protocols and operational continuity. The scope of work requires dedicated project management services, including mandatory attendance at weekly or bi-weekly move meetings from June 2026 through project completion. The selected vendor must maintain an active workplan and task list for each phase of the move, while coordinating directly with department heads to confirm transfer of record policies, security protocols, and specialty equipment requirements. Additionally, the vendor must provide all necessary packing and moving materials, including specialty packaging for technology, and perform all loading, moving, and unloading of boxes and identified equipment. Eligible bidders must be onshore United States organizations. The agency requires bidders to attend a mandatory walk-through on June 17, 2026, to inspect the facilities before submitting a proposal. Although the physical relocation occurs onsite in Lansing, the agency specifies that the performance of the administrative work will be offsite, and proposals must be submitted digitally via email or an online portal. The agency has not disclosed a set budget and is currently looking for proposals to determine the cost of the project.
