Olympic Cauldron Installation Service

The government authority in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a vendor to provide construction, restoration, fabrication, relocation, and installation services associated with the Olympic cauldron relocation and installation project. The agency needs to solve the logistical and structural challenges of moving and setting up this historic monument safely. The project covers the removal and storage of twenty-two wood planks, which the contractor must replace with suitable decking. The scope of work requires installing electrical systems for the cauldron LP gas controls and providing lighting for both the cauldron and the granite podiums. The selected vendor must batter the exterior walls of the vault with a granite stone veneer and install granite trim around all four sides. The agency also requires the mounting of an LED lighting strip in hidden locations to illuminate the base elements and the cauldron above. The project further entails revising the right-to-enter language to access the cauldron and cleaning and polishing the interpretive metal panels at the base of the tower. The agency requires the preparation of a comprehensive operations and maintenance manual for the completed installation. Performance of the work will take place either onsite in Atlanta or offsite as required by the specific task. Only organizations based onshore in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for this project.
