Courier Services

The government authority located in Sandston, Virginia is seeking a vendor to provide statewide courier services. The agency needs to transport various types and sizes of construction and maintenance materials. The quantity of items per pickup and delivery will vary, and the expected maximum capacity for each pickup and delivery is a one-quarter-ton pickup truck. The selected contractor must pick up materials from designated sending locations and deliver them to designated receiving locations. Materials that do not require packaging must be transported loose with a label. Certain materials will require special handling, including upright transport, temperature control, and cushioning to prevent shock or the breakage of seals or glass containers. All pickup and delivery activities must occur during normal business hours between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM. The agency requires the performance of all work to be onsite. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget, and the resulting contract period will be for one year. The agency will hold a pre-bid meeting on June 22, 2026. Bidders must submit all questions no later than June 29, 2026.
