RFI for Microbiological Laboratory Testing Services

The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, or a similar government authority located in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a vendor to provide microbiological laboratory testing services. The agency requires these services to monitor and analyze microbial activity through surface, gloved fingertip, and viable air sampling. To ensure quality control, the agency needs Certificates of Analysis from the manufacturer verifying that the sampling media meet expected growth promotion, pH, and sterilization requirements consistent with USP General Chapter standards. The scope of work requires the vendor to provide monthly surface sampling kits that include all necessary materials, analysis, positive and negative controls, and shipping. The plates used for surface sampling must feature a raised convex surface and must support both bacterial and fungal growth on the same plate. For all surface, gloved fingertip, and viable air sample analyses, the agency requires the reporting of counts of discrete colony forming units. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency expects the selected vendor to perform all laboratory testing services offsite.
