Sales Tax Audit and Recovery Services

The Orange County Transportation Authority in Orange, California is seeking a consultant to provide sales tax audit and recovery services to identify and correct transaction and use tax errors. The selected consultant will analyze transactions tax distribution reports for eight previous quarters, the current quarter, and all future quarters during the contract term. The consultant must contact personnel at these target businesses, research errors, and submit all necessary documentation to correct tax allocations. Additionally, the consultant will meet with agency officials to coordinate workplans, monitor deficiency assessments, and review the annual administering fee proposal to ensure legislative compliance.
