The City of Jacksonville Beach, Florida is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive street sweeping services for city streets and city-owned parking lots. The municipality requires this service to clear accumulated debris, maintain clean roadways, and prevent environmental runoff. The selected provider must resolve the issue of debris accumulation by sweeping a minimum of four feet wide from curbs and gutters, including turnout areas at intersections and major interchanges. The scope of work requires the use of either a vacuum or mechanical machine equipped with a minimum four-yard hopper. The operator must sweep all curbed and gutter-lined roads thoroughly, ensuring no dirt trails remain behind the sweeper. To maintain safety and environmental standards, the operator must perform all sweeping in the same direction as traffic flow and utilize water mist sprayers to minimize fugitive dust. The agency prohibits sweeping operations on the same day as the scheduled sanitation and recycling collection for any given route. Eligible bidders must perform all work onsite in Florida, and the agency limits participation to onshore entities within the United States.
