Communications Audit and Development of a Communication Strategy Service

The Town is seeking a qualified Canadian organization to conduct a comprehensive communications audit and develop an effective communications strategy. This initiative aims to solve the problem of inefficient communication practices by evaluating current methods and identifying strengths, weaknesses, gaps, and opportunities. The ultimate goal is to create a roadmap that enhances internal and external communication, fosters transparency and accountability, and improves engagement with staff, council, and the community. The scope of work requires a thorough communications audit that reviews existing tools, assesses internal processes, and evaluates brand consistency. The selected partner must consult with Town staff, councillors, and community members to identify challenges and provide actionable recommendations on tools, platforms, and methods. Additionally, the project involves developing a communication strategy with a clear vision, measurable objectives, audience-specific approaches, and protocols for crisis communication and public engagement. The final deliverable must include a detailed implementation plan with a rollout roadmap, timeline, resource requirements, and defined roles. Only onshore organizations based in Canada are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The performance of all contracted work will take place offsite, and the Town is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
