Structured Cabling Upgrades Service

The government authority located in Washington is seeking a contractor to provide structured cabling upgrades services. The agency requires a comprehensive suite of services including design, installation, scheduled repair, emergency repair, move, add, and change services. Additionally, the selected contractor must provide training, consultation, quotes, walk-throughs, documentation, and procurement to support the cabling infrastructure. The scope of work involves the proper identification of cable runs, which includes labeling jacks and termination blocks as well as marking floor plans with jack numbers. The project environment includes natural gas pipelines operating at pressures greater than sixty pounds per square inch. The work also involves electric conductors with a potential to ground of more than three hundred volts, as well as electric conductors without concentric neutral conductors or other grounded metal shields or sheaths that are either exposed, directly buried, or in duct or conduit. The contractor remains solely responsible for developing, managing, directing, and administering the safety and health programs for its own employees. Eligible bidders must be located onshore within the United States. The agency requires the performance of the work to be conducted offsite. The contract period will span one year, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
