Acquisition and Demolition Construction Services

The City of Saluda, North Carolina, requires a prime contractor and construction manager to provide comprehensive acquisition and demolition construction services. The agency is seeking to solve the logistical and environmental challenges of removing an existing structure safely from its site. To address this, the selected contractor must perform an initial structural assessment to determine the appropriate course of action for the demolition process. The scope of work covers all preparatory sitework necessary to ready the site, including access creation, grading, and excavating. The agency requires the capping of all underground utilities and the complete removal of excess remains from the site. If the acquisition process reveals lead-based paint or asbestos, the contractor must take additional precautions to dispose of or recycle these materials at an approved facility in accordance with environmental regulations. The agency limits eligibility to onshore organizations based in the United States, and all work must be performed onsite in Saluda. The contract period will span one year from the date of award. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for this project, and bidders must submit all questions no later than June 29, 2026.
