Single Auditing Services

The City of Fulton, New York, is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive single auditing services. The agency needs to resolve inaccuracies in its financial records and ensure its balance sheets are fully supported and accurate. This initiative aims to establish a reliable trial balance and prepare a clear balance sheet report for presentation to the Common Council. The scope of work requires the selected vendor to review and adjust the 2022 and 2023 adjusting journal entries. The vendor must perform complete bank reconciliations for all accounts, identifying outstanding checks, deposits in transit, and unrecorded fees. Additionally, the work includes correcting miscategorized expenses, duplicate entries, and missing transactions, as well as adjusting bank and book balances. The agency also requires reconciliation of all primary balance sheet accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll liabilities, against independent source documents. The project covers reviewing capital projects to establish appropriate records, closing out old capital project records, and addressing recommendations from the 2021 capital project audit and the 2025 capital project audit follow-up. Finally, the vendor must assist with training to ensure city staff can maintain the system after project completion. Bidders must perform all work onsite in Fulton, New York. Eligibility is restricted to onshore vendors located within the United States.
