Broker Insurance Services

The City of Trenton, New Jersey is seeking a qualified broker to provide comprehensive insurance services. The city needs to identify its insurable property and casualty exposures and requires recommendations on professional methods to reduce, assume, or transfer risk. The selected broker will help the city understand available coverages from its joint insurance fund or other competitive alternatives, while identifying strategies to reduce overall insurance costs. The scope of work requires the broker to review the city's assessments prepared by the fund, third-party administrator, or insurance company, and assist in preparing the annual insurance budget. The broker must provide coverage summaries for all new coverages, update the city on changes to existing coverages, and assist in preparing applications, statements of value, and other requested documents. Additionally, the broker must attend and participate in all safety committee and insurance commission meetings to support the city's safety and loss containment objectives. Eligible bidders must be organizations based in the United States. The city expects the selected broker to perform the required work offsite. The contract will span a one-year period, and the city is currently seeking proposals to determine the budget. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 6, 2026.
