Collection and Recycling Batteries and Lead Materials Service

A government authority located in Everett, Washington is seeking a vendor to provide collection and recycling services for batteries and lead materials. The agency needs to manage the disposal of approximately 275,000 pounds of automotive lead-acid batteries, 500 pounds of miscellaneous lead materials, and 8,000 pounds of standard jump boxes and uninterruptible power supply systems. Additionally, the project covers the collection and recycling of 4,000 pounds of lithium-ion and embedded battery devices. The scope of work requires scheduled collection services, responsive and overflow pickup services, and the provision and maintenance of containers. The selected vendor must handle all loading, transportation, recycling, and material recovery, as well as the lawful disposal of non-recyclable residual materials. The agency requires strict compliance with all applicable environmental, transportation, and safety regulations throughout the performance of these services. Bidders must perform all work offsite and must be located onshore within the United States. The agency is establishing a contract period of one year. While the agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals, bidders must submit all questions no later than July 1, 2026.
