Acceleration and Deceleration Lane Project Services

The City of Laredo, Texas is seeking a qualified vendor to provide acceleration and deceleration lane project services. The agency is attempting to improve traffic operations and reduce potential conflicts between through traffic and vehicles entering or exiting the facility. The project covers mobilization, project administration, traffic control, barricades, warning signs, and traffic handling. The scope of work requires the removal of existing flexible base materials, asphalt pavement milling and removal at a two-inch depth, and the placement and compaction of flexible base materials. The selected contractor must also apply a tack coat, place Type C Hot-Mix Asphalt Concrete pavement, perform shoulder widening, and execute related roadway improvements. Additionally, the agency requires pavement striping and traffic markings, which must include four-inch white striping. Only onshore organizations based in the United States are eligible to bid on this opportunity. The performing vendor must conduct all project work onsite at the designated location in Laredo, Texas. The agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed a specific funding limit.
