Large Item Drop Off and Pickup Services

The government authority located in Springfield, Illinois is seeking a vendor to provide large item drop off and pickup services for residents of the county. The agency is attempting to solve the problem of disposing of bulky household items by offering a dedicated collection service. The scope of work covers curbside service limited to persons residing within the county boundaries but outside the corporate limits of the city, living in single-family or duplex units. The project covers the collection of eligible non-electronic large items including couches, sectionals, chairs, tables, refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, dishwashers, water heaters, window air conditioners, mattresses, box springs, doors, shelving units, TV consoles, stereo consoles, and carpet pieces five feet in width or less. The agency excludes electronics, automobile parts, engine blocks, scrap metal, tires, furnaces, central air conditioning units, portable heaters, and construction or remodeling waste such as drywall, brick, concrete, siding, lumber, and paint. The selected vendor must perform all work onsite in the designated service area. Bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States to be eligible for this opportunity.
