The City of Brockton, Massachusetts, requires comprehensive architectural, engineering, energy, and construction administration services to modernize its aging school infrastructure. The agency is seeking to implement a district-wide strategy that reduces greenhouse gas emissions, improves indoor air quality, and transitions school facilities away from fossil-fuel-based heating systems toward full electrification. This initiative aims to address deteriorating building systems while establishing long-term environmental sustainability and operational resilience across the school district. The scope of work covers heat pump chiller replacement, electrification strategies, and the replacement and modernization of rooftop units. The selected provider must perform building management system upgrades utilizing Automated Logic integration, electrical infrastructure and distribution upgrades, and energy recovery and ventilation improvements. Additionally, the project encompasses weatherization and building envelope improvements, potential solar photovoltaic integration, emergency generator and resiliency planning, and ongoing construction administration and commissioning services. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires all performance of the work to take place onsite at the designated school facilities in Brockton. While the agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is openly looking for proposals, it has scheduled a pre-bid walk-through for June 30, 2026.
