Greenhouse Refurbishment Service

The Alpine School District in Utah is seeking a vendor to provide greenhouse refurbishment services for an existing 30-foot by 48-foot structure. The district is trying to modernize the facility to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable operation for student learning in horticulture, agriculture, and related programs. This project is not a full rebuild, as the district intends to retain the existing structural frame where feasible and focus on upgrading and replacing deteriorated components. The scope of work requires replacing the existing greenhouse covering with 8mm clear twin-wall polycarbonate and installing paneling for the roof, front wall, back wall, and side walls. The selected vendor must repair existing structural components as needed, limiting replacement to damaged or non-serviceable elements. The project also covers installing a heating system capable of maintaining safe winter operating temperatures, providing thermostatic controls, and ensuring proper venting. The district requires the installation of an evaporative cooling wall system, including pads and water distribution, with cooling controls integrated into the environmental systems. The vendor must replace existing plant tables with rolling or fixed greenhouse benches and install an automated or semi-automated irrigation and watering system. All physical performance of the work must take place onsite at the Utah facility. Eligibility is limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The district is looking for proposals to determine the budget and will accept response submissions digitally via email or online.
