Courier Service for Newborn Screening Samples

The Kentucky Department for Public Health is seeking a vendor to provide reliable courier services for newborn screening samples. The agency needs to solve the logistical challenge of transporting and delivering newborn screening specimens, as well as other clinical and environmental specimens, from various facilities across the state to the government authority located in Frankfort, Kentucky. The scope of work covers transport services from forty-six state birthing hospitals and twelve health departments, which includes one correctional facility. The agency is establishing a contract period of one year for these services. Bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States to be eligible for this opportunity. The performance of all courier work will take place offsite. The agency is looking for budget proposals from bidders rather than providing a pre-determined funding limit. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 29, 2026.
