Moving and Relocation Services

The Village of Schaumburg, Illinois is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive moving and relocation services for its village hall. The agency needs to solve the logistical challenge of relocating all identified items to a new location starting on Thursday, November 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The contract period for these services will span one year. The scope of work requires the vendor to provide move materials, including packing supplies, labels, boxes, totes, crates, library carts, and speed packs. The selected vendor must pack desktop technology items such as monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and phones, which village staff will disconnect prior to the move. Additionally, the vendor must shrink-wrap library carts for security, place temporary placards and signage to assist with placement at the new location, and provide on-site supervision during all phases of the move. The agency requires the designation of a project manager to oversee the transition. This manager must collect move information, hold pre-move planning meetings with staff, create a logistics plan, and manage the labeling process. The project manager is also responsible for coordinating building requirements, including submitting Certificates of Insurance for both the origin and destination locations. Bidders must perform all work onsite and must be located onshore within the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget for this project. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting on July 8, 2026, and submit any questions regarding the opportunity no later than July 17, 2026.
