Athletic Field House Construction Service

The Town of Ipswich, Massachusetts is seeking construction services to build an athletic field house at the Jack Welch Memorial Stadium on the Ipswich Middle/High School campus. The agency is trying to construct a weather-tight, fully secured shell with doors and windows to prepare the building for a subsequent phase of construction. This initial phase requires the installation of roof framing, shingles, and all in-ground rough plumbing stubbed off above slab level. The contractor must also place a concrete slab over a vapor barrier and rigid insulation. The scope of work covers a thirty-two-foot by sixty-four-foot single-story field house containing two team rooms, public restrooms, and a concession area. The agency requires a hip roof constructed with prefabricated wood trusses, plywood decking, and asphalt shingles, along with aluminum gutters and downspouts installed on three sides of the building. A separate, future bidding process will cover Phase II of the construction, which includes all plumbing fixtures, HVAC equipment, electrical systems, lighting, and fire alarm devices. The agency limits eligibility to onshore organizations based in the United States. The selected contractor must perform all work onsite at the school campus. The contract period will span one year, and the agency is currently looking for budget proposals to determine the project cost.
