Pension Investment Management and Custodial Services

The Capital Area Transit authority in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive pension investment management and custodial services for its pension plans. The agency requires a partner to perform investment management for two distinct pension portfolios while serving as the plans' corporate trustee and fiduciary. This partner must provide custody and safekeeping of all investments, settle trades, and collect and reinvest all interest, dividends, and capital gains within the portfolios. The selected vendor must provide the agency with a single point of contact who is an investment manager dedicated to assisting the plan administrator and committee members. This manager will assist the pension committee in reviewing the Investment Policy Statement on a periodic basis and will work closely with the corporate trustee. Additionally, the agency requires a detailed year-end report documenting all payments made to retirees, beneficiaries, and terminated participants. Eligible bidders must be organizations based in the United States, and they may perform the requested work either onsite or offsite. The agency is establishing a contract period of five years for these services.
