Custodial Services

The City of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive custodial services for its government authority facilities. The agency requires these services to maintain clean, sanitary, and professional environments across its municipal offices, conference rooms, Council Chambers, and common areas. The selected provider will address daily and periodic cleaning needs to ensure the health and safety of staff and visitors. The scope of work covers a wide range of cleaning tasks to be performed onsite. These tasks include vacuuming all carpets and mats, spot cleaning carpets, cleaning underneath desk chair floor protectors, and dusting and mopping all non-carpeted floors with bleach. The provider must also clean all interior glass, sweep and damp mop entryways and stairwells with soap or bleach, wipe down rails and doors, dust file cabinets, empty wastebaskets, and sanitize water fountains, desk phones, and lunchroom furniture. Additional duties involve filling soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting high areas and air vents, spot cleaning light fixtures, sanitizing vending machines, changing urinal pads, and washing all exterior glass. The contract period will span three years. To be eligible for award, bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and pricing structure for these services. Interested parties must attend a mandatory pre-bid walk-through scheduled for July 7, 2026, to remain eligible for bidding.
