Finance Consultant Services

The City of Oak Hill, Florida is seeking an independent contractor to provide part-time accounting and bookkeeping services. The selected consultant will report directly to the City Manager to support the day-to-day financial operations of the municipality. The agency requires a professional who is proficient in all Microsoft applications and QuickBooks, while possessing strong clerical and organizational skills. The scope of work covers preparing monthly financial reports for the City Manager and citizens, processing accounts payable and receivable, and managing payroll alongside its related reporting. The contractor must perform bank account reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and assist in providing requested reports to auditors for annual audits. Additionally, the agency expects the consultant to make recommendations to the City Manager regarding the development and maintenance of financial policies and internal controls. Eligibility is limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency will permit the selected contractor to perform the work offsite.
