Financial and Operational Improvement Service

The Mississippi State Department of Health, located in Jackson, Mississippi, is seeking a vendor to provide financial and operational improvement services for critical access hospitals. The agency is attempting to improve the overall financial health, stability, operations, and efficiency of these hospitals through technical assistance and sustainable action plans. The selected vendor will deliver financial education and implement improvement projects specifically addressing billing and coding, as well as market share and outmigration analysis. The scope of work includes conducting a statewide needs assessment to ensure planned activities remain responsive to current hospital needs. This assessment work ranges from intensive data collection and analysis for an in-depth, systematic statewide assessment to a brief annual review of new data. The agency is establishing a contract period of two years for the completion of these services. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations located within the United States. The agency requires the performance of all work to occur offsite. Bidders must submit any questions regarding this opportunity no later than July 9, 2026. The agency has not disclosed a set budget and is seeking cost proposals from interested bidders to determine the financial scope.
