Custodial Services

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a vendor to provide custodial services, building systems maintenance, and ongoing interior and exterior repairs for Rest Area and Truck Parking Area complexes in the Columbia, South Carolina area. The agency requires comprehensive janitorial care to maintain clean, safe, and functional facilities for the traveling public. The selected contractor will resolve maintenance issues and preserve the overall appearance of these state-managed roadside properties. The scope of work covers the cleaning and maintenance of ash receptacles and urns, drinking fountains, flat surfaces, fixtures, and furnishings. Personnel must remove gum, grease, and debris from walkways and floors, wash non-brick walls and partitions, and scrub floors using appropriate equipment. The contract also requires cleaning HVAC vents, the exterior surfaces of heating and cooling units, louvers, and ventilation components. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is looking for proposals to establish the budget for these services and has not provided a pre-set funding limit. The agency will host a pre-proposal conference on July 15, 2026. Interested parties must submit all questions regarding the solicitation no later than July 16, 2026.
