Forensic Audit Services

The government authority in Pontiac, Michigan is seeking forensic audit services to conduct a detailed examination of its financial records, internal controls, and operational practices. The agency is trying to identify potential fraud, mismanagement, waste, or non-compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and municipal policies. The scope of work covers financial transactions, accounting records, internal controls, revenues, expenditures, contracts, grants, procurements, vendor payments, and supporting documentation across any of the city's funds. The selected auditor may be requested to perform procedures within any fund, account group, department, program, transaction class, or financial activity maintained by the city. The agency will allow the scope to be modified throughout the engagement based upon risk assessments and preliminary findings during the planning phase. Work will be performed offsite, and the agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget. Eligible bidding organizations must be located onshore within the United States. Bidders must include at least one Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) as part of the engagement team. The agency will host a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on July 7, 2026, and requires all questions to be submitted no later than July 9, 2026.
