The Washington State government authority in Olympia requires specialized hazardous material cleaning and abatement services. The agency needs to solve the problem of hazardous contaminants within its facility by removing and disposing of asbestos-containing materials, PCB-containing sealants, lead-containing paint, heavy metals in masonry mortar, and silica dust. The selected contractor must coordinate closely with the Owner, Architect, and Environmental Consultant throughout the project duration. The scope of work covers the characterization and proper disposal of all hazardous waste streams, as well as securing all necessary permits, notifications, and landfill fees. The agency may perform independent quality control sampling, which requires the contractor to provide a forty-eight-hour advance notice before starting work. All operations and performance of the work must take place onsite at the Olympia location. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish the budget for this project. Interested parties must attend a pre-bid meeting on July 9, 2026, and submit all clarifying questions no later than July 13, 2026.
