Engineering and Architectural Services

The City of Mount Dora, Florida, is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive engineering and architectural services for a renovation and new construction project. The agency requires the development of coordinated design documents for a renovation and approximately 1,700 square feet of new construction. This scope spans architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, environmental, and other necessary disciplines to deliver complete, permit-ready construction drawings and technical specifications. The selected vendor must review agency-provided conceptual drawings and available project information to initiate the design process. The scope of work includes preparing and updating an Opinion of Probable Construction Cost that details assumptions, exclusions, allowances, contingencies, and budget risks. Additionally, the agency requires the vendor to identify permitting requirements, prepare permit-ready documents, respond to permitting comments, and revise documents to secure permit approval. The agency also requires construction administration services to support the project through completion. These services include site observations, review of submittals, shop drawings, substitution requests, and requests for information. The vendor must also assist in change order reviews and negotiations, participate in meetings, review pay applications, and notify the agency of any observed deficiencies or deviations. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The performance of all contracted work must take place onsite in Mount Dora, Florida. The agency is currently looking for proposals to establish a budget, and the resulting contract will run for a period of one year. Bidders may submit their responses either digitally via email or online, or physically via courier or post. The agency will host a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on July 28, 2026, to discuss the project requirements.
