GIS Services

The government authority in Alberta is seeking GIS services. The agency requires a web-based GIS service to map various data layers including roads, utilities, assessment data, zoning, floodplain data, historical significance, oil and gas data, and county assets. The service must also include a tracking and reporting system for weed management, capable of linking property and owner information with inspections and generating landowner letters. The scope of work encompasses the ability to create spreadsheets of landowner information for mail merges and perform analysis for programs such as gravel, brushing, and road maintenance. The system needs to integrate with the County's future tangible capital asset tracking system, as well as extract information from Citywide software. Ease of access to County data for reporting and query generation without requiring a programming specialist is a key requirement. The agency also needs the ability to measure features, add mark-ups, and generate map downloads for reports and information requests. The system must accommodate the addition of all County aerial photography layers for multiple years. Functionality must be accessible via a mobile app or website supported on Android and iOS platforms, with custom report creation through user-friendly tools. A portal for County residents to access a public version of the web-based mapping system is required. The system must integrate property and owner information with tax roll information, and provide a user-friendly interface for staff. All questions must be submitted no later than July 24, 2026. Eligibility is restricted to onshore Canadian organizations only. The performance of the work will be offsite, carried out in the vendor's office premises. The agency is looking for proposals.
