Community Forestry Services

The agency is seeking community forestry services for the city of East St. Louis, Illinois. The project aims to improve urban forest management through a comprehensive tree inventory, removal and replacement of hazardous trees, and the planting of new native trees. The agency also requires assistance in developing a Community Forest Management Plan. The scope of work includes completing a citywide tree inventory of public trees on streets, right-of-ways, parks, and public properties with a minimum 95% accuracy goal. The project also requires the removal and replacement of up to 75 dead or hazardous trees by professional arborists, and the purchase and planting of up to 400 native trees in disadvantaged census tracts.
