Thermal Storage Technologies for Mission Assurance at Tinker AFB

The Department of the Air Force seeks information to determine the feasibility of contracting for natural gas or thermal substitute storage technologies to provide energy resilience for Tinker Air Force Base. The buyer needs an on-site thermal storage system capable of microgrid operation, black-start capability, and supporting a 350 MMBTU/hour demand with at least 58,800 MMBTU of storage. The solution must fit within a circular area of 785,000 square feet and support critical mission loads independently for a minimum of 168 consecutive hours. Interested public or private organizations and businesses with relevant experience may submit responses.
