The City of La Porte, Texas requires a professional law firm to perform tax collection services for delinquent property taxes. The selected firm must prepare monthly status and performance reports, send legal or advisory notices to delinquent taxpayers, and file claims for bankruptcy and judicial proceedings. The buyer expects the firm to initiate lawsuits to foreclose tax liens, intervene in tax suits filed by other entities, and cover all expenses for supplies, postage, court filing fees, and collection costs. To qualify, the buyer restricts eligibility to onshore USA organizations. The firm will perform all work offsite. The buyer currently seeks proposals to determine the budget.
