Refuse and Recycling Carts Service

The City of Waterbury Bureau of Refuse requires a vendor to supply 64-gallon and/or 96-gallon refuse and recycling carts. Requested specifications for the 64-gallon carts include a minimum weight rating of 200 lbs, approximate inside dimensions of 38.5 inches high, 21.5 inches wide, and 22.5 inches long, a non-overlapping single print lid, an 18-inch load bar height, and textured corners. Vendors must construct the carts from injection-molded high-density polyethylene with a double-wall lower lift pocket or equivalent, and include a removable, replaceable, rotating stop bar. Recycling carts must be shamrock green with yellow lids. Performance of the work will be offsite. Only onshore United States organizations are eligible to bid. The buyer seeks proposal pricing to establish the budget. The City will evaluate qualifications and bid compliance factors, reserving the right to reject any or all bids, make an award, or decline an award. Bidders must deliver sealed bids to the Director of Purchasing in Waterbury, Connecticut by 11:30 AM on October 15, 2026.
