Insurance Brokers Service

The Essex County Improvement Authority (ECIA) seeks qualified brokerage firms to establish a 2027 pool of insurance brokers for present and future insurance needs. The required scope includes market canvassing, binding approved coverage, reviewing and drafting coverage documents, preparing annual reports, managing excess/reinsurance renewals, and providing risk management advice to staff and the Board. Eligible respondents must be onshore USA organizations licensed in New Jersey as property/casualty insurance brokers or agents and carry at least $5,000,000 in errors and omissions coverage. Bidders must submit one copy of their response digitally via the ECIA Purchasing Portal by Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM EST, and send a confirmation email to Betsy Williamson. The contract term covers calendar year 2027. Bidders must disclose all fees and commissions, as ECIA will evaluate cost proposals to compensate the broker on a flat fee or commission basis.
