Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability and Administration Services

Oakland Community College seeks qualified insurance carriers to provide fully insured Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), Voluntary Life and AD&D, and Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage. The selected vendor must also deliver administrative services for a self-funded Short-Term Disability plan on an Advice-to-Pay or Administrative Services Only basis. The initial contract term runs from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, with options for two additional 12-month extensions. Eligible bidders must be authorized and licensed insurance carriers with at least ten years of experience offering or administering the proposed benefit programs. Applicants must demonstrate experience serving public-sector or higher-education organizations, prove financial capability, disclose current A.M. Best ratings, and maintain onshore operations in the United States. Vendors must submit questions online through BidNet Direct by October 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM EDT. Final proposals, including pricing schedules, customer references, and a detailed implementation plan, must be submitted online via BidNet Direct by November 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST.
