Custodial Services

The City of Ocean City Department of Administration is soliciting proposals for onshore US organizations to provide custodial services for beach and boardwalk restrooms in Ocean City, NJ. The selected contractor must supply all cleaning equipment, tools, transportation, and approved cleaning products, as well as an exclusive onsite supervisor. Required duties include checking and refilling dispensers, emptying trash and feminine hygiene containers, keeping floors free of sand and excess water, clearing sink drains, sanitizing door handles, and maintaining stocked supplies from the City Warehouse. Contracted employees must wear professional uniforms with identification badges and pass background checks and fingerprinting by the Ocean City Police Department. Contractors must also obtain a current City Mercantile License and meet specified insurance requirements. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place on October 28, 2026, and all questions must be submitted no later than October 30, 2026. Failure to correct identified cleaning deficiencies will result in a $250 fee deduction per restroom location and potential contract termination.
