Apprenticeship Experience Statewide Coordinator Services

The South Dakota government authority is seeking a vendor to provide apprenticeship experience statewide coordinator services. The agency needs to establish a sustainable model that supports schools with the continued implementation of apprenticeship experiences, including making connections to business partners. This initiative aims to increase student access to paid work experience, high school and postsecondary credit, and industry-recognized credentials. The selected coordinator must connect career and technical education pathways, coursework, and work-based learning with industry-recognized credentials, skills, and registered apprenticeship program entry points. The scope of work requires analyzing employer needs, comparing them to current school offerings, and identifying appropriate training providers to address gaps within selected career clusters. Additionally, the agency requires the identification of the expected number of business partners needed to meet demand and the development of a schedule for reviewing career clusters to support program launches or expansions. The coordinator must identify curriculum and pathway gaps by comparing employer skill needs with current school offerings and implement solutions to address these gaps in partnership with schools and training providers. Eligible bidders must be onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency requires the performance of all work to be conducted offsite. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is looking for proposals to define the cost. Bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than May 15, 2026.
