Ireland - Qualification System for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Services

An Post, the government postal authority located in Ireland, is establishing a qualification system for artificial intelligence services. The agency requires a system that incorporates robust controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its information. These security controls must include industry-standard encryption for sensitive data at rest and in transit, unique user access management with bi-annual reviews, and multi-factor authentication for remote and privileged access. The scope of work demands comprehensive cybersecurity measures to protect the agency infrastructure. The provider must implement network perimeter firewalls, network segmentation for sensitive systems, malware prevention with automatic updates, and baseline system hardening configurations. Additionally, the agency requires active vulnerability and patch management, regular penetration and application security testing, and data loss prevention controls to monitor and prevent unauthorized data transfers. Eligibility is strictly limited to onshore organizations based in Ireland. The agency expects the performance of the work to take place offsite. Bidders must submit their responses digitally via email or through the designated online platform, and the agency is currently looking for proposals to determine the budget.
