CCTV Cameras, Wireless Communication Systems

The City of Charleston, South Carolina is seeking a contractor to expand, maintain, and support its existing citywide safety, security, and network infrastructure system. The agency needs to enhance public safety and transportation initiatives through the deployment of closed-circuit television cameras, wireless communication systems, and integrated networking solutions across an urban environment. This project aims to solve the ongoing need for reliable, scalable, and optimized surveillance and connectivity by integrating new installations with the city's existing municipal fiber networks and video management systems. The scope of work covers ongoing design, purchase, installation, configuration, and support services for the security and network infrastructure. The selected contractor will perform site assessments, design new camera locations, mount cameras on existing light poles, and provision electrical power to all deployed equipment. Additionally, the work includes installing network hardware, deploying point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless radio systems, testing and commissioning systems, and providing ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repair services. Bidders must perform all work onsite and must be located within the United States. The agency is requesting proposals to determine the budget for this initiative. The contract period will span one year, and bidders must submit all questions regarding this opportunity no later than June 1, 2026.
