In-Home Respite Care Services

The Commission on Aging in White Cloud, Michigan requires a contractor to provide in-home respite care services. The agency needs to solve the challenge of supporting twenty clients monthly who require personal care services in their homes. The scope of work covers bathing, shaving, grooming, dressing, and care-associated light housekeeping as prescribed by individual care plans. The selected provider must assess individual needs and develop a care plan for each participant within fourteen days of receiving a referral, with updates occurring every six months thereafter. The agency also requires the contractor to conduct in-service training for staff at least twice a year and maintain records identifying training dates, topics, and attendees. Additionally, the contractor must conduct and document an annual supervisory visit for each staff member with a program participant present during each fiscal year. Eligibility is restricted to onshore organizations based in the United States. The agency expects the performance of the work to occur offsite at the homes of the participants. The agency is looking for proposals to determine the budget and has not disclosed a pre-set funding limit or specific key dates in the solicitation.
