Professional Crossing Guard Services

The City of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, is seeking professional crossing guard services to monitor, supervise, and assure the safety of school children utilizing intersections and crosswalks. The agency requires personnel to halt vehicles using mechanical and hand signals, maintain order among assembled children, and permit crossings only when safe. Crossing guards must report traffic violators to the police department and report non-compliant children to school authorities. Personnel must also educate children on traffic safety and pedestrian controls while wearing reflective safety vests at all times on duty. The agency is limiting eligibility to onshore organizations based in the United States. The requested services will be performed offsite at designated school zones and intersections within the jurisdiction. The agency has not disclosed a specific budget and is currently looking for proposals to determine pricing. The contract period will span three years.
